About Pioneer 11
The first spacecraft to fly past Saturn, in September 1979. Also flew past Jupiter in 1974, passing closer than Pioneer 10. Scouted the path later used by the Voyager probes. Carries the same plaque as Pioneer 10. Contact was lost in 1995 when its power ran low.
