About Opportunity Rover
Landed on Meridiani Planum in January 2004. Designed for 90 days but operated for nearly 15 years. Found evidence that liquid water once soaked the surface. Drove over 45 km, a record for off-world driving when it ended. Fell silent during a planet-wide dust storm in 2018.
