Named Columbia by the crew. Carried Armstrong, Aldrin, and Collins to the Moon and back. The only part of the Apollo spacecraft to return to Earth. Now displayed at the National Air and Space Museum in Washington DC. The heat shield reached 2,760C during reentry.
