About Chang-e 5
Returned the first lunar samples since 1976. Landed in Oceanus Procellarum in December 2020. Drilled and scooped 1,731 grams of rock and soil. An ascent stage docked with the orbiter in lunar orbit for the trip home. The samples revealed volcanic activity more recent than expected.
